Leon Cho was born in Tokyo, Japan. He is half-Japanese and half-Korean, which is a high emphasis and inspiration for his work. He moved to the US at a young age, growing up in the San Fernando Valley and calling Los Angeles home.

He finished his undergraduate degree in Business Marketing with a minor in Art at Cal State Northridge for his fascination with how a business is run. Leon is pursuing his master's degree in Art, specializing in ceramics. His unique background deeply influences his work—a blend of Japanese and Korean heritage, with his early years spent in Japan and his upbringing in Los Angeles. This multicultural perspective shapes his artistic approach, as he uses ceramics to explore and reconcile the nuances between these two rich cultures. Cho seeks to create a dialogue between his diverse cultural experiences through his art, reflecting his personal journey and artistic vision.
